  • Betty Davis Ancient Kauri Bowl

    Betty Davis Bowl

This bowl is made from a piece of ancient kauri root burl.  It measures 21″ x 2.5″ deep or 525mm x 65mm deep.

The first person to buy this particular design was named Betty Davis from New York, so the name kinda stuck.

There is a seam of kauri gum which runs thru the centre of this piece.  If you hold it to the light you can see the light passing through which is amazing!

A very nice and rare piece which came from deep in the Kauri root system. Dated at around the 32,000 yrs under the ground.
